'Activity is not the same as doing something significant'

Judy Abrahams

Judy Abrahams grew up on a dairy farm in Cambridge, gained a BSc and teaching diploma at  Auckland University and then married Wayne at 20. They taught in Te Aroha and Levin before moving to Te Puke 40 years ago. They both taught for 30 years at Te Puke High, until Wayne died. They have 4 awesome married children and 13 wonderful grandchildren. Wayne and Judy were born again in their 30’s and led youth groups in the church and in the school for more than 20 years. This included many youth camps in which hundreds of young people gave their lives to Jesus. Since Wayne’s death Judy has travelled on missions to India and Nepal most years and has been instrumental in creating a Christian response to community needs. This involved a Foodbank, community meals, social work and budget help. Judy has facilitated every night prayer meetings for the last 7 years and a Strategic Prayer team that meet weekly. She is currently secretary of the Christian Leaders Network in Te Puke. Judy has a passion to see the body of Christ rise up together bringing revival  to her community and her nation.
