Neil is married with three sons, and 6 grandchildren (who have Brazilian, Kiwi and Indian heritages). He is Southland born and bred and appreciates now more than ever that Murihiku is the Taurapa o Te Waka (the steering place of the waka). He has lived in Invercargill all his life, worked as a secondary school English teacher and ESOL tutor, editor, and entrepreneur. He has been involved with the Bethel Sozo ministry for the last 7 years.
